My Revlon Stash So Far...

Hello! It's been sometime, I know. Sorry about the lack of updates. Was busy getting these swatches done. I figured its by time I show you my stash of Revlons that I've owned and accumulated over the years.

Revlon - Midnight Affair
Revlon - Midnight Affair
Revlon Midnight Affair - The name says it all! This is my go-to blue. It is my kind of ideal navy blue to wear. When I look at this colour, I couldn't shake off the image of pairing this nail polish to a dark blue navy velvet outfit. But weather in Malaysia is just too hot to wear any velvet clothes. =P Anyway, last Wednesday (14 November), was World Diabetes Day and I looked through my stash and realised I lacked of stunning blues, I've sport this blue to show my support for this awareness. Right, who doesn't know about diabetes? We've all heard about it over and over. But have we taken the necessary steps to prevent diabetes? So, let's all reduce our sugar intakes for a better future! The colour is gorgeously pigmented, good to go with two coats.

Revlon - Blackberry
Revlon - Blackberry
Revlon Blackberry - a very Christmas red to me. I believe I wore this colour last Christmas along with Skin Food BL512. This red is rich with tiny gold shimmers and leans slightly towards the warm red tone. Lovely red this is. Opaque in two coats.

Revlon - Copperglaze Platinum
Revlon - Copperglaze Platinum
Revlon Copperglaze Platinum - If I'm not wrong, this was my first revlon nail polish. Love the colour! What I like most about this is the small gold shimmers it has that gives it a unique touch. This is unlike the other two above. It's very frosted! Lol, I've topped it up with Seche Vite to see if it'll give that glossy shine but it still looks frosty and kinda matte-y. But that's okay, I still think it looks great! ;)

Revlon - Pretty In Papaya
Revlon - Pretty In Papaya
Revlon Pretty In Papaya - This is unique in my Revlon stash as it's the only one scented. But I didn't buy it for the scent, it was the colour that I was very attracted to. Somewhere early this year, I really wanted a bright creme red that leans slightly towards warm pink and searched high and low for this colour. Mighty glad I was to finally found it. The scent is...smells like cherry to me (I thought the name cherry would suit this colour better as Papaya reminds me of orange instead). And the scent last for days! (4 maybe?). What I really love about this colour is that its very flexible as you have seen me use in many of my nail arts. Which is why I thought its high time I swatch this for you. Hehe! I've done three coats for this. Good to go at two though. :)

Revlon - Chocolate Truffle
Revlon - Chocolate Truffle
Revlon Chocolate Truffle - I think the name matched well! The shade totally reminded me of milk chocolates! This brown was the missing brown from my stash. Happy to have found it on a recent trip to Thailand. The formula in this is slightly sheer, in the pictures above I've used only two coats so you can get the idea of the sheerness in this polish. I've expected it to be pigmented somehow. So, it was kinda a little let down when I saw that its a little sheer. Hmm, 3 coats for best coverage.

Revlon - Fashionista
Revlon - Fashionista
Revlon Fashionista - I love love love this shade of blue with a hint of green, kinda muted but such a beautiful creme shade to have! I've always wanted one and so glad to have it now! The formula in this is much more pigmented than Revlon Chocolate Truffle. Opaque with just two coats.

Revlon - Sheer Petal
Revlon - Sheer Petal
Revlon Sheer Petal - Beautiful soft nude pink shade. A very gentle one too! It's from a sheer collection although I'm not sure if its anywhere to be found in Malaysia... I got this from Thailand too (honestly, they have more colour choices there compared Malaysia). I would think this colour is great for sandwich! Not so sure about French Manicure... Revlon's brushes are narrow and its challenging to get even coats. Picture above is 3 coats.

All in all, what I really love about Revlon polishes is that they don't seem to thicken up even after years. However, the polishes are rather sensitive. If the temperature isn't cold enough they are likely to bubble up and that would be absolutely annoying. So if you plan to use Revlon, perhaps turn on the air condition to cool down the room temperature.

And that is all for now. I hope you've enjoyed this post. :)

  2. Nice collection! I think my favourite is Fashionista. I am pretty impressed with Revlon's polishes, especially for the price that they're at. They also have so many awesome glitter dupes :D

    1. Thanks! I agree! But its really too bad that there are a lot of Revlon awesome polishes that are not available in Malaysia. =( Chocolate Truffle, Fashionista and Sheer Petal were happy purchases from Thailand. I've not seen any of these sold in my country, so far. Hohoho, so happy that I've picked them up XD

  3. Ahhh I too have Midnight Affair, but I find it too dark for my taste! The blue stunning shimmer does not show all proud as I wish it did..! Pretty in Papaya is a stunner though! And one that I don't own! :)
