Volcanic Inspired Nails

Hey you! ;)

Since the weather's been reaaallllyyyy crazy hot here in my country, I have a really hot and burning nail art to share with you today! It's something I did about a week ago, which was supposed to be posted a week ago, but something else begin to bugged me and thus it has been delayed till now. Haha! Anyway, while I get the photos for swatches ready, here is the Volcano Inspired nail art!
Lacqueerisa: Volcanic Nails

So, Mr. Polish Gone Cranky who is Polish Gone Crazy's husband had this wonderful idea of nail art contest which is to be inspired by Volcanoes. His reason is that he hasn't seen this theme came up for any nail art challenge or contest so far, and decided to hold one. It's too bad that it's only open to US Resident (contest is over btw!). Anyway, I thought it was really a good idea and I felt like attempting one, so I did. Haha!

Ahh, yes only 1 picture. I took tons, somehow only this turns out right. Haha! So I've done them using the saran/cling wrap technique with a little touch up using brushes. Although it's not really the kind of nail art I would sport out of the house, haha they sure were fun!

Nail Polishes used:
  • Black - Holika Holika Black polish
  • Fiery Orange - Tip Top Nail Chic Mango Tango
  • Neon Red - Chi Chi - Bounce Him
Tools used:
  • Saran/Cling wrap
  • Nail Art Brush

    1. Thank you! There was a participant who literally did a volcano design as in the mountain on her nail and have the lava flowing!

  3. Love it, love it, love it!!! Too bad you could only share 1 picture but I have that problem too. Taking hundrends of pics and only chose 1 or 2 hahaha btw I envy you for your weather. It's already spring but so cold here in Germany, still snowing sometimes :(

    1. Thanks!! Yeah, I seem to be showing fewer and fewer pictures. LOL!! I do apologise. Haha! Yeah, I know I'm somewhat unappreciative of the weather here. Lots of my friends overseas says I should be thankful as well. But I really dislike feeling sticky and all, especially just after bath - and sweating already! Hahahaha!! I'm sure it'd get better soon. Stay warm though! :)

    1. Haha! I couldn't agree better! It really was the polishes that were sitting in my stash, almost having no attention that spark the interest in attempting these! I saw the theme, and knew I had the colours to make it work. But being able to pull it off is really rewarding! Thank you :D
