Abstract Thoughts

Heyyyyaasss! To all my Malaysian readers, are you ready to vote?! It's going to be my first time voting and I'm excited to play my part for the country! In conjunction with GE13, this will be my last manicure for this week and no more nail arts or colours until after voting sessions. So the blog might be quiet for awhile... :(

Back on topic, today is nothing but a random 'go with the flow' nail art idea. I was in the mood of doing a nail art, but also in a mood for a little fun and weirdness. Hence, the results are abstract thoughts that flowed onto the nails. :)

Abstract Thoughts
I must admit it was real fun doing this nail art. Not having to think if anything made sense being put together, but randomly playing with colours and styles. Also, I kinda like how the yellow dots looked like they're glowing. Oh hey! I think I'd just head back and dot glow in the dark polish over the yellow dots. Haha!

These are fast and easy nail art. I started off with two coats of nude base colour. Using the brush from the blue polish with the dry brush technique, I painted half of the nude base in uneven lengths. Utilizing my nail art brush, I went ahead and created smaller dry brush strokes for the top with an orange polish. Take a moment and feel the art (lol! well, that's what I did!) - hmm it needs some yellow dots at the bottom! With that said, using the toothpick with a sharp pointy end (for finer dots), dot on the yellows as desired! Don't forget the topcoat! :)

Ahh, but it's a real pity my camera can't take decent dark photos. But I'd give it a try and maybe update this post with how the dots look with the glows :) *edit: I totally forgotten to put the glow and have completely removed them. sorry! Poor memory these days.* Haha! All in all, this was a fun manicure. Better yet, being able to wear this masterpiece on my nails! - Oh, the simple pleasures in life! ;)

  8. That's what nail art is about right? Playing around, having fun ^.^
I love blogging but sometimes I feel a bit pressured to improve, to do more nail arts.. Of course I still enjoy it but just this weird feeling sometimes haha

You know what, looking at your nails, I feel like I'm standing in the middle of a wheatfield on a summer night. It's already late, you can already see the stars but the sky is still bright and the only thing which reminds you gently that night is coming is the cool summer breeze.

Hihi I'm getting a bit lost in my thought here xD Sorry. But as you hopefully can tell, yeah, love your mani♥ ^.~

  9. Yeap! Part of self expression too. Oh, I've had moments like that before. Where I got burned out and felt pressured to 'perform' better. Anytime that happens, I'd just take a step back, have a deep breathe and remind myself why is it I started blogging. If I'm having a hard time finding inspiration even after hours of browsing etsy and pinterest, I'd just go on swatching what's in my stash while I continue brainstorming on the next nail art. (my go to relaxing remedy is always a cup of coffee ;P)

Thank you so much for sharing your interpretation, I love it! It's such a wonderful thought! :D And thank you again for the compliment I truly appreciate them ♥

  12. I love yellow over blue and how the dots are not uniformed in this mani. Great job with mixing elements, I love this :D
