Models Own Dancing Queen, as most of you would know is from the Mirrorball Collection. It has a variety of glitters ranging from holographic shards, small gold hexes to green and blue medium hexes. The glitters are gorgeous and super reflective! Yes, just like mirrors!!
These are some of the quick test swatches I've done to see which would look great as base for Models Own Dancing Queen. In the above picture are test swatches over dark colours with shimmers which I thought they all look great! And in the bottom picture, are medium shade shimmery base test. They are quite a quirky set! Hahaha!
Well, I proceed to test swatch them over pastel colours, unfortunately I dislike every combination except for this. This is Models Own Dancing Queen swatched over baby blue pearly polish, Etude House BL501. Absolutely love the combo so I did an almost full set. Lol, I should have done a full set. The thumb looks so out of place. Hahahaha!! Need to hunt for a replacement for Etude House BL501.. =/ I'm looking for a dupe with bigger brush (lol) otherwise it's hard to get a smooth coverage for the poor thumb. *Sigh*
In conclusion, I am loving Models Own glitter polishes in terms of glitter combos and colour combos! Although Dancing Queen was a pretty thick on the formula and bubbles easily, it's still a fab addition to my polish stash. Also they are by far the hardest glitter polish to remove with nail polish remover! Hahahaha!! I was more than happy to use PVA glue as base coats when swatching Models Own Dancing Queen, or removing them would be a nightmare!
