Inspired by Crabtree & Evelyn

Beautiful Wednesday, yes? :) Today's nail art is inspired by Crabtree & Evelyn's beautiful packaging. If you've been reading the past few posts, you would have read that I had intentions to attempt nail arts inspired by them. This, however, was not the intended attempt. But Crabtree & Evelyn, Malaysia recently held this "Take a Picture" contest. Where participants have to take a photo of three single products in the most creative way. There will be 10 winners who get to win the 3 products they featured in their photo.

Well, I had a couple of ideas.. but decided that my hand pictures are still the best. Hahaha, I'm just terrible at normal kind of picture taking. Anyway, there wasn't anything special or that unique about the photo I submitted, except that I did a nail art using their packaging as inspiration - hopefully they'd like it. Hahaha!

I really love the outcome on my thumb, feels rather sad it's not always 'center of attention'. So I dedicated this shot specially to showcase it. :P The inspiration for the thumb and ring finger is the same, which is a mixture of inspiration from Crabtree & Evelyn Somerset Meadow Collection Packaging and Crabtree & Evelyn Himalayan Blue packaging. Ahh, and I really love Himalayan Blue's packaging! I'm definitely doing one inspired solely by Himalayan Blue Collection next!

The index, is a straight inspiration of Crabtree & Evelyn's logo. Except, I couldn't execute the leaves as detailed as the leaves of on the logo are. As for middle finger and pinky, I drew inspiration from Crabtree & Evelyn's Evelyn Rose collection (the older packaging). This was the same inspiration I used for the recent nail art I did for my Mom.

This picture (the photo I submitted) was taken a few days earlier which is why you don't see the injury in the above picture. To be honest, I wanted to include Pomegranate so badly, since that's my favourite scent from Crabtree & Evelyn, I'm not so sure about Somerset Meadow, I took a quick sniff at Himalayan Blue's and well, it seems alright? Hahaha! Anyway, let's just hope I'd at least stand a chance to win ;D

Well, I guess that is all for this post! Hmm, the next post may not be as pleasant. Unless I schedule that post for another later time. Would you rather I keep it a 'good' week? 'Cause I could post some swatches instead. I have quite a number of new polishes. Lols! Some are not so new, but yet to be worn. So yeah, still new in my book :) Yeap, let me know if you prefer reading a good week or you don't mind the rather unpleasant post. Hahahaha! :)

  4. I think your nail art will make the photos stand out for sure. x3 And I still love those roses.

Is this 'unpleasant'ness you're referring to that small cut on your finger? It doesn't ruin the pictures. xD If you dislike it enough, you could photoshop it out pretty easily?

Either way, swatches or nail art, I'll enjoy reading it. xD

  5. Can you please do my nails?
The roses are so perfect!! I'm jealous xD hahaha Nah, seriously, it makes me proud to see how good you've become and how gorgeous your nail arts are! Glad you take an extra pic of the thumb, it turned out so good! Btw does that monkey has a name? Is it a known brand? Cause I had that monkey too when I was younger (my cousin send it to me from Vietnam), so I wonder.. hahaha :D
I'd love to see swatches hun! Just bought China Glaze Optic Illusion. I couldn't decide which one to pick from all the pretty holo polishes but then I remembered your review so I bought OI ^-^ Can't wait for the polish to arrive hihi

  10. Hahahhaa, But I AM a blue maniac! xD It makes me happy just wearing blue! That's actually quite true! I'm pretty sure one of the reason is it's blue. I also really love how gorgeous and abstract the patterns are, and the colours! Thank you very much! I'm glad you like the roses :D

  11. Hahaha I sure hope so! Thank youuu!! Glad you still love them, I was wondering if it might be boring showing them again :P

Hahaha, no no. It's more of a semi-rant post? I'm leaving that for next week. Meh, don't want to ruin a good week! ;D

Aw, thank you so much! I'm truly blessed to have you here! :D

  12. Not till you do mine first :3

Thank you so much! Hahahaha! It's okay, I'm jealous of you too. So we're even >:) Hahahahhahahha!! Haha! I really loved it too, so a picture of it was inevitable! XD

Hmm, I'm not sure where to see the name from, the label? There is a "Melanie" printed there as well. Hahaha! The brand is Kipling. It's considered branded to me, cause of the price we have to pay here. Got in during discounts, so it's okay. I like the vibrant colours it has and the material!

Hahaha sorry hun, the swatches will be next week XD Hahahah!! Oh yayy!! I hope you'll love it too! I've added 3 more CG in my collection since then. I'll try to swatch it next week hahaaha I guess I'd be having a swatch week, like you! (Otherwise I'm not getting any swatches done =.=!)

  13. :D Thank you very much! I'm so happy to know you love them! Hehe, the tree looks tedious, but it quite simple once broken down step by step (mostly it's easier because I shaded the leave :P) Hehe, thank you!!

  15. Yay!! Thank you so much! I feel honoured! I was worried before, if the tree would have looked too out of place :) I'm glad that instead, it stands out in a positive way! :D

  17. These look beautiful! I've always admired Crabtree & Evelyn's packaging :) I love all these designs together, they don't seem like they'd go together but they're actually perfect together! The flowers on your middle finger and pinky are beautiful!
