Etude House Petite Collection Swatches & Review

Hello everyone!

Trying to catch up with swatching. There are some colours that are beautiful the way the are! Haha! So while I'm not featuring a whole collection, these are just what is new/recent in my stash!

Lacqueerisa: Etude House

Etude House GR608

Lacqueerisa: Etude House GR608

Etude House GR608 didn't photograph nicely. The colour appears so neon yellow here. In person it's actually slightly muted neon yellow with a hint of green. I loved this shade in the bottle, but not so much when applied. The finish is a little jelly-ish and it's so hard to get a smooth coverage. *frustration max!*

On my nails are three coats, and you can still see the nail lines. Well, well, I guess I could still use them for sandwich? Haha! And other nail art purposes.

Fortunately, when I got this colour there were sales and this was half price! So, it's not too bad. Just really pity it wasn't creme finish like I had wanted...

Etude House GR601

This colour! So much win! I love it the moment I saw it in store! I know how similar it is to Essence Let's Get Lost, but its sharper and more vibrant! Haha!

Lacqueerisa: Etude House GR601

This may sound odd, greens don't seem to photograph well. In person, its a little more green. Plus, the formula for this bottle is great! Smooth application; stains though. Haha! Well, most teal colours do stain. Even the Essence Let's Get Lost gave my nails good blue stains. Hahaha! I don't mind it.

On my nails are just two thin coats! The coverage is so much better! Drying time..well, it takes a little while. To speed things up I've put on Seche Vite top coat when swatching these. My hand temperature is hot/warm, so unless I keep a bowl of icy water beside me, these are bound to bubble up.

Etude House GR605

Lacqueerisa: Etude House GR605

Etude House GR605 is a milky green with a creme finish. The application is just as wonderful as Etude House GR601 but doesn't stain as bad! I love how unique the colour is!

In photos are two thin coats. Awesome coverage, no streaks. Definitely one of my favourite greens! I know of a lot nail art I would be doing using this green. Have one or a few planned up as I typed. :)

Without a doubt, this was a happy purchase! I do hope if it does finish, and when I repurchased it, that the formula stay as great and wonderful!

I have enjoyed wearing GR605 and GR601 on their own! Such eye catching and richhh colours! I realised I tend to wear colours on my nails when I go out, and thus rendering me unavailable to try colours on my nails to see if I'd like them or not before making purchase. Besides, I had expected all of these to be creme finish. GR608 was pretty much a let down.

How about you? Do you often test the colours when testers are available or buy judging the colours from the bottle or the swatches they have there?

  2. Wow the yellow seems really neon. I like it but where do people usually get Etude House polishes? I have seen on blogs alot and they seem to be only sold online. I wonder if they are ever in stores.

    1. Well, it isn't that neon in person. It was hard to get a colour accurate picture for that polish. It's actually little more greenish. I'm based in Malaysia, we do have stores here. Haha! I bought mine from stores directly.

  4. Out of the 3 I like GR605 the most. I buy colors mostly judging from the bottle but sometimes I see swatches online and I'm like "I have to have it!" xD I've never tried Etude House Nailpolishes, were these your first ones?
Oh and it might be irrelevant but I think it would be so much nicer if the polishes have proper names instead of numbers haha

    1. Yeah, I mostly do that too and check for swatches they have in store.

Nope, they weren't my first ones. Haha! The first one I got from them was a shimmery blue polish, the bottle was much fancier too! Of course, a little more price to pay. Haha!! It's all gloopy now, but I still kept it! LOL!

And I do agree on the namings too! I find it really tedious to type codes. Their newer ones (which is also much more costly) do have proper names! So yes, big improvement!

  5. Pretty colors! Too bad they don't sell them in the Netherlands, but there's always the internet.
Especcially GR605 looks beautiful, so happy and bright!
