The Sweet Love

Good Morning! We are just a few days before Valentine's Day. I believe there is a possibility of love literally filling the air around us by now. Valentine's Day as how I know it, is a day many couples dedicate to celebrate their love for each other. Now, I've heard a few who do not agree on this V-day idea. One of the common reasoning they give is "I don't think love should only be celebrated for a day. It should be everyday, all year!".  Well, I think they are missing the point. It's not that couples (or anyone else) only celebrate 'Love' on Valentine's Day only. Rather than that, I think it's a day that gives the perfect excuse for both parties to just be excused of other activities and spend time with each other. Haha! Anyway, these days, Valentine's Day has become a day to celebrate 'Love' in general. So this year, I've been thinking of attempting at least one Valentine's Day nail art. Just as that thought crossed my mind, I received an invitation email from Jaimie Herrmann, Community Outreach Coordinator of Brilliant Earth to participate in a 'Create A Little Love Campaign', end of last month. Brilliant Earth is a company based in US that specializes in ethically sourced diamonds and engagement rings. Good Morning everyone! Today's post is one I debated for awhile - the same one that I had somewhat hinted, few days back. I suppose if you're a blogger and you are reading this, you would agree that blogging isn't as easy as it seemed. Preparing a post could very well be time consuming - the planning process, the execution, preparing contents, the editing, yada... yada.. Basically, there's a lot that goes into the making of one single post just so that the content would be something worth reading (sorta).

So what happens when you received an email from another requesting you to guest post and you took the time and effort despite in busy situation, to meet with the scheduled time only to realised, he/she has probably changed his/her mind and no longer wants to post your stuff? I may seem like jumping into conclusions, it can't be helped, really. It's been almost 3 months since the scheduled date and up till now, there's no updates or whatsoever. Assuming he/she isn't interested anymore... why ask if you are not sincere about it? Hahahah! Besides, the scheduled date was set according to mutual agreement. So.. I don't know. But here's what I think, in my humble opinion, if one wishes to extend the date or has decided my content is not worth it anymore, is it not a common courtesy to notify me? Or are common courtesies so rare these days its not common anymore? (quoting my nephew, he has a valid point there hahaha!) Lols. I sincerely hope such people are not in a mindset of when time goes by things or situations will just fade away...slide away and slip away and far away...and disappears..... *poof!* o.O

Inspired by Dress Nails Tutorial

Good Morning Readers! It's been chilly morning here today, and I love it! Hahaha! Finally some cool days :) I hope it stays this way for at least a week! ;) 

Also, my sincerest apologies for the sudden short hiatus, I got a little too busy to get this post up for the past week. And I've managed to break my other thumb's nail this time. Nothing of major breakage, but just a little crack at the side. So nub it goes! Haha!! However, I did manage to take photos for the tutorial before the 'little accident' occur. :P

Inspired by Dress

Good Morning! 

After a rather busy week, I've finally found the time to do my nails and to show you new nail art! :D This nail art is inspired by this dress I saw on Pinterest. Haha, but you know, how getting inspired is one thing, and being lazy to execute so much details is another thing. Hahahahha!!! So it's probably more accurate to state that this nail art is roughly based on the inspired dress/outfit. :)

More Ice-Creams!

Hello! As much as I always seem to be complaining about Malaysia's hot hot hot weather, I'm super grateful for it too. Because, hey! It could have been worst :) And due to our hot and humid weather, one can never run out of reasons to dive for a good ice-cream treat! Recently I discovered Liquid Nitrogen Gas ice-creams while on a window shopping treat, and guess what? They are the best ice-creams I've ever tasted so far! The smooth texture is irresistible! So I've done two notd, (they are the same though..) inspired by ice-creams (not really).

Hello to all of you! I'm in a very or rather joyous mood today since I do have nail art to share with you! I was browsing through etsy for inspirational food (as usual). Yeap, you read it right. Inspirational food. I am one of those who just can't go by a day without feeding my eyes with pretty pictures of creativity outbursts by all the creative minds out there. Hoho~! Back on track, I was saying look at this picture here. It is a Hot Air Balloon Kit Circus themed made by Claire Waring who resides in Sydney Australia! I loved the one with the blue dome so much I just have to have something similar on my nails! 

Tealicious Pinks

Hello! I have with me some love for teals and pinks today. I'm also submitting this for a nail art contest held by Marisa of Polished Obsession and Lakeisha of Refined & Polished with themes featuring colours of teals and pinks in simple nail arts. Not to forget the very exciting prizes which made it very irresistible to participate in hopes of winning them. Haha~ Well, I'm very sure there are tons of talented ladies participated already! Abstract Thoughts

Heyyyyaasss! To all my Malaysian readers, are you ready to vote?! It's going to be my first time voting and I'm excited to play my part for the country! In conjunction with GE13, this will be my last manicure for this week and no more nail arts or colours until after voting sessions. So the blog might be quiet for awhile... :(

Back on topic, today is nothing but a random 'go with the flow' nail art idea. I was in the mood of doing a nail art, but also in a mood for a little fun and weirdness. Hence, the results are abstract thoughts that flowed onto the nails. :) 

Spring Geometric Prints

Heyyyy! I'm really excited to share this nail art with you! It is inspired by a shirt that I have. The shirt has this wonderful cool tone pastel prints paired together with some saturated colours. I have been wanting to do a nail art inspired by it for sometime but never really gotten to do it, until yesterday! :)

Same Colours, Different Looks

Good Afternoon! So while I am swatching, I have a few nail art previously did, but have yet to seen to be showcased here. I have done these for Section two of Tip Top Nails South Africa Nail Art Contest. For section two, participants are required to use only Red, Nude, Brown, Purple and Pink with an addiction of a different colour each week. Vivid Roses

Good Morning! It is Monday once again and hopefully none of you are feeling the Monday's Blues! Recently, (about a month ago) Chelsea from Get Nailed posted her beautifully done Dr. Martens Floral Inspired roses here which completely blew me away at how stunning it is. And few days ago she has posted a tutorial on how she did the roses here - I was blown away the second time. (lol). That did it. I needed to try/attempt another rose manicure! 

I had my first attempt at rose nail art here which I wasn't proud of. Everything was all over the place. I hadn't grasp the structure of rose well enough, plus, it was done using acrylics. So today, I'm happy to present to you, my successful rose nail art attempt using nail polishes which I'm satisfied with. 

Feeling A Little Under The Weather

...well, sort of. I think?

Hi everyone! No, I'm not sick or anything. This nail colour combination is inspired by a wristlet I've received for Christmas. I love it. At first I thought of incorporating the design on the wristlet onto my nails, but I changed my mind, kept the colours though. ;P And these colours, they inspired or somehow possessed the talent of affecting my mood turning it a little grey. A little soft whisper of sadness lingering somewhere. Haha. :)

NOTD - The Quiet Enchanting Glitters

Hi! It's Monday again! Hope the Mondays Blues aren't getting you. Anyway, I have a review in store and then the NOTD.

The Review : Colour Combos CPE 203

It's a very sheer yellow, lilac and opal-like colour. I fell in love with this nail polish the moment I saw it. The identity of this polish is Colour Combos CPE 203. Such a lovely shade, really. I was disappointed though when I tried it on my nails it appears to me more yellow than more of the lilac shade.

Yeap, that's how sheer it is. So for today's NOTD, I have decided to layer it over 2 coats of Etude House BR307.

Today's NOTD: The Quiet Enchanting Glitters

These are just 1 coat of the ColourCombo CPE 203. Woohoo! Finally it looks more lilac-ish with hints of yellow gold shimmers. Finishing off this NOTD with Pretty2U glitter polish previously shown here.

After putting on the Glitters!

I love how they turn out! At some angles they looked like little glistering droplets of water of my nails!! Right, i called this look "The Quiet Enchanting Glitters" because I felt that though the Glitters aren't "roaring" in their sparkles, they sure gave me the feeling of a beautiful magical garden, that's hidden somewhere~
