Peppermint Candy Canes

Hello again! Though this post actually kinda links with my previous posts, I've decided to keep it less messy and do a separate one. I've been waiting to do this nail art! Its inspired by Red and White striped Peppermint Candy Canes! And this marks the fourth of the 12 Christmas Nails Series in my list!

You know, I really think Red and White is one of the classic theme for Christmas aside from the classic Green, Red and Gold/Yellow combinations - the kind of Christmas themes I'd never get tired of. I have planned and intended to achieve this look by water marbling technique. Thought I'd go ahead, give myself the super boost to attempt it. Sure, I tried but it was a total disaster! The colours won't even spread properly on the water. *Frustrated* Have you ever had moments when you just need to get that image that you've imagined in your mind out of your head? Well, this is one of those moments.

Since marbling just won't work for me, I figured I'd just draw them on. Of course, the effect is not as nice as marbled, but the best I could do since I really need to get the image out. Haha!! Deciding how to place the curves was tough but I do like the idea of drawing the curves because it has much lesser clean ups to deal with. LOL!!

I debated awhile if I should have the glitters top over the design or sandwich in between and finally decided they look better below the red lines. For this look, I've used 3 coats of Tip Top French Manicure White and 1 coat of F4 Polish Peppermint Stix. Drew the curvy stripes with a small nail art brush using Revlon Red and Revlon Pretty in Papaya. Seal everything with 2 coats of Seche Vite Top Coat.

Dang, I wish I had Candy Canes to pose with in these pictures! Time to get those candy canes!! Anyway, I hope you enjoy these Peppermint Candy Canes inspired nails! Seeing these really got me craving for peppermint candy canes!

Erm, Happy Peppermint Candy Cane Monday! Hope none of you are having Monday Blues! See ya all in next post. ;)

F4 Polish Peppermint Stix!

Hello!! Today I'm very excited to share about a prize that I've won in a giveaway held by F4 Polish at their facebook page. It was a giveaway held to celebrate the mark of their 1,000 fans like on their facebook page.  I was really looking forward to receive this, because I got to choose any polish of my choice and get it at JUMBO size :D I've chosen one from their Christmas Collection which is Peppermint Stix! I chose it because everywhere I went, I've only been seeing Red & White and Peppermints! The name is so catchy too! Plus, I really wanted a red and white glitter, this is just perfect! Thank you again to Jenn, Lacey and Lexy, the ladies behind F4 Polish for this wonderful prize!
