(Belated) Deepavali Peacock Nails

Helllooooo Monday! Today I bring you a belated Deepavali Nail Art. It is inspired by Peacock feathers. Hahaha, though actually I had wanted to attempt a Saree inspired one. Unfortunately, I couldn't find one that I was happy with and since I haven't try peacock feather nails yet, why not? :)

Inspired by Dress Nails Tutorial

Good Morning Readers! It's been chilly morning here today, and I love it! Hahaha! Finally some cool days :) I hope it stays this way for at least a week! ;)

Also, my sincerest apologies for the sudden short hiatus, I got a little too busy to get this post up for the past week. And I've managed to break my other thumb's nail this time. Nothing of major breakage, but just a little crack at the side. So nub it goes! Haha!! However, I did manage to take photos for the tutorial before the 'little accident' occur. :P

Mix 'n Match 'Em!

Happy Monday everyone! As promised, here is the NOTD for today! It's inspired by this picture I saw from Etsy Finds. I love how they have staged their products and the beautiful mix of different elements in the photo which makes the photo absolutely arty and eye catching.

The Five China Glaze I Owned

Hello fellow readers! I shall warn you ahead this is going to be a long post! ;) There's quite a lot I want to say, and there is no obligation in reading though. Hehe!

Somewhere in March, I've actually made my first ever purchase of China Glaze polishes. It's quite crazy, as it didn't hit me they were my firsts until I was on my way home and feeling all excited about my very worthwhile buy. Then I got extra hyped! Lol!!

I am uncertain how many of you would do this, but I've been loitering around China Glaze counters looking for possible colours that would interest me and checking out which collection they carry or don't. More often than not, I'd end up leaving that place empty handed, but still loiter about there again the next time I happened to pass by. And then, during my random yet frequent loitering in the month of March, I noticed a polish I've never noticed before (busy looking for blues all those times), Fairy Dust. Omgosh! So pretty!!! And it has scatter holo properties! What the heck, why I've never set eyes on this before! The salesgirl there was kind enough to assist and let me know it was priced about MYR 30.00. Apparently it was under best buys. I looked around a little more and decided to only get Fairy Dust, then she notified me that buying two, they give Pom Pom as a free gift. OH! Sounds good! I wasn't too sure what else to get, but I finally settled for Optical Illusion (also under best buys) which I do know it's from the Prismatic Collection last year. And to my lovely surprise, I was also given a free pouch! Neat!

Queen of Hearts

Good Afternoon! (do not like the sun. wish it rained the whole day. lol)

Remember the Nail Art Contest I told you about over at Nails by Kayla Shevonne? After a long while brainstorming on ideas to execute, I've finally came up with one that's inspired by Tim Burton's Queen of Hearts. I didn't take the everything into the nail art, mainly the corset and a little bit of the skirt, with of course, a few touches and additions of my own.

Spring Geometric Prints

Heyyyy! I'm really excited to share this nail art with you! It is inspired by a shirt that I have. The shirt has this wonderful cool tone pastel prints paired together with some saturated colours. I have been wanting to do a nail art inspired by it for sometime but never really gotten to do it, until yesterday! :)

Polka-Polka?

Heyyas! I can't believe it's already Wednesday. Time seem to be flying faster and faster! Sigh. Anyway, I have a nail art to show you today. Nothing fancy. Just a little bit of polka dots since I was in the mood of doing them and it felt like it's been a really long time since I last did a nail art.

A Walk With Purple Nature

Hello everyone! It's already February and seeing as February's birthstone is Amethyst, I was in the mood for purple manicure! Besides, I was really inpired by this pillow found on etsy. The colours caught my eye and I knew I wanted to do vector-like designs on my nails. I did them a day before going on a short vacation, it wasn't planned but they ended up matching with my outfit that very day. Haha!

Shades of Triangles

Hey everyone! Today's nails are inspired by all the beautiful triangle pattern prints that's been around for quite sometime. I've been wanting to get try create those repetitive triangle patterns but didn't have the courage to do so. Every time the thought of doing it pops up, I simply brush/push it away with this very excuse that goes in my head : It's going to be tedious, you're going to lose patience. You're not going to get the lines straight anyway.

Well, my usual brush, although at size 0, was still too thick to attempt such designs. But ever since I modified one of my old nylon brush, I don't see why not! So, I finally sat down and gave it a go.

Merry Christmas Plaids!

Alrights! Here it is, the 12th of 12 Christmas Nails Series! I hope you have all been enjoying the looks so far. Here with me is a classic Christmas Plaids design. I was very much inspired by Vicky from The Nail Artiste in her Christmas Plaids and Cute Doggie post! So yeap, I had to attempt one myself. And what's better than to end the whole series with the very Merry Christmas Plaids? ;)

Oh, Yellows and Greens?

Morning! I'd  be posting up a 3 more posts later in the day, in order to complete my 12 Christmas Nail Series. Haha! I totally wasn't in time for before Christmas. Hmm, I should include time management in my New Year's Resolutions. =P

So here's another Chevron design (yes, kinda hooked to it) and this were inspired by what I wore on Christmas Day. I've been addicted to muddy yellow/dirty yellow colours ever since I saw it on OPI Germany Collection, Don't Talk Bach to me. Haha! So, since I've taken a liking in that colour, I couldn't help but got myself a cardigan of similar colour. I really liked it! It was rather hard thinking what tank top to go with it. I thought of orange/coral/red, but they didn't quite match up to the "dirtiness" of the knitted cardigan. How about teals? Too striking. I was panicky for a moment wondering if I should have gone for last minute shopping. I thought for awhile, which tank top I have that I've not worn? Ahh! A Christmas green tank top! Perfect combo! And a brown slack to match the tops. Since I really enjoyed what I wore on Christmas, I thought of putting them down on my nails.

Red On Teal Christmas

Hello all! This marks the 7th of 12 Christmas Nails Series, and I have 7 more days till Christmas arrives! I wonder if I can make it =/ Hahaha!

I really do think ribbons are one of girls' best friend - accessory. It could be dainty, sophisticated, fun, sweet or weird or smart just by styling them differently. And, somehow or rather it has got into my mind that I'd dislike having ribbons on my nails because... doesn't seem to suit me. I'm not the sweet kind....Yeah, ribbons on nails always give me the sweet-girl feeling. Never had the thought of putting ribbon on my nails occur to me until I saw this very very artfully fun Beautiful Knee High Boot Socks

Vintage Christmas

Hey all! This is the 2nd NOTD for Christmas of my 12 Christmas Nail Design series. And though I've called it Vintage Christmas, its really a mix between vintage and retro. This design was inspired by this Retro Christmas Card I saw in Etsy (view it here) but the colours are really vintage.

Going Pink for Breast Cancer Awareness!

Hello everyone! October's the month for Breast Cancer Awareness and to show my support, I'd be showing you a simple NOTD. I really wanted to create something soft and subtle to portray the delicate beauty in ladies. I thought about the beautiful soft feather manicure I've been seeing around for the past few months but decided against that. And so I went with gradient borders. Cause I really like the idea of slightly coloured edges around the nails.

Mint Jeans Pocket

Hello all~ So I've finally got my pictures taken, edited and now, they are ready to be shown!! So today's NOTD is inspired by a really beautiful mint jeans shorts I saw on etsy. I was anxious actually, unsure if I could really carry out the idea that spring to my head when I saw the shorts. Its nothing too complicated though, just wanted to create pocket jeans look on my nails (which would somewhat be dashed border/framed nails?). And.... I'm satisfied with the results! Nah, I REALLY LOVE THIS! :D I think its great to wear this nail look on days when you want nail art on your nails but don't want them 'loud'.

And here are the nail polishes used and the faithful toothpick :

The Face Shop - GR501
Skin Food Nail Vita - BR609
Bloop - (name unknown) Its a shimmery white with subtle pink undertones.

By the way, is there any matte top coat that you know of that has a big brush? I find it hard to give a smooth application of matte top coat on my thumb's nail. =/

Oh Basketballs!

Hello dearies! I've just came back from celebrating my brother's birthday. And so I thought I should do basketball themed nails (since both of us likes basketball :D - although I have no talent in it) in conjunction to celebrating this wonderful day. Also, a chance to try out the black stripper I just bought recently!
