I'm A Swatch Model For Polishville! :D

PRODUCTS SENT BY PR
Woohooo!! Heyy everyone! I'm so happy to tell you that recently I have become a Swatch Model for a Malaysian online store, Polishville! They are a company that is recently founded, and specializes in selling nail polishes and nail art accessories to primarily Malaysian, they do however, also ship internationally! Just be sure to email them any questions you have before proceeding. I think you will be pleased to find the prices they offer reasonable :)

As a Swatch Model, my task is to provide them with swatches of the polishes they sent but I've also asked them if I could do a review of the products here and they said yes. So, today I will be showing you a few swatches. I do have a nail art too, but that will be in a separate post :)

China Glaze Feel The Breeze

LacqueerisaXPolishville: China Glaze, Feel The Breeze
This is Feel The Breeze from China Glaze's Off Shore Collection. Feel The Breeze is said to be a baby pink neon creme polish. I took a quick look at swatches around the blogger-world for a peek at this polish. Sadly, it didn't appear as I thought it would. Haha, I really wanted a bright blinding peachy hue in my collection. Nevertheless, as I've heard wonderful stuff about China Glaze's Neons. I'm just excited to give this a try.

Above is two medium coats of Feel The Breeze, without topcoat. You can see that it finishes slightly matte. Feel The Breeze do dry-to-touch pretty fast. As for application wise, it is tricky. Too thick will cause bubbles, too thin you get streaks. Pardon me, but I can't help but be reminded of cornstarch-alien blood stuff when I was applying this. It felt almost like that, if not exactly. Use as few strokes as possible, I vote for the standard three strokes. Haha ;)

Here is a shot of this polish with topcoat. There is a slight difference, its a little more peachy leaning hue when topcoated (warmer hue). There is no doubt this colour is very sweet, though I must admit I have a different opinion when it comes to what defines "breeze" - hahaha! (dusty blue, that's what I think about, Sea Spray!). Unless of course, one is imagining a lovely lady breezing pass hot guys. That way, Feel The Breeze in bright pink makes sense, no? XD Hahaha!

LacqueerisaXPolishville: China Glaze, Feel The Breeze
Though not a colour I'll wear on its own, I do find this shade very ideal for nail arts. I must admit, I have my doubts if this is a neon. In person, it really looks just like a standard bright pastel pink. Yet under camera lens, it tends to get overexposed, somewhat. The pictures above have gone through colour correction in order to show you the true appearance, if not a closer depiction of what it looks like in person.

indoor, direct lighting (with topcoat)
I thought I'll give you an idea of what I meant when I said they tend to be overexposed. These two pictures above, are unedited. I did cropped them to fit better. Haha. So yes, this is how they look under camera lens but not how they look in person (in my humble opinion).

Side note: I do apologize if in my pictures the skin colour looks off or so, that's because I'm only focusing on showing you as near as possible, the colour of the polish, and not focusing so much as to provide an accurate depiction of what my skin colour is. I do have naturally tanned skin (warm olive), if that helps. Haha! ;D

China Glaze Swanky Silk

LacqueerisaXPolishville: China Glaze, Swanky Silk
From China Glaze's Bohemian Collection, this is Swanky Silk. A duochrome of pink and olive gold shimmers. A colour I knew it was gorgeous when I was stalking this collection back then, but also a colour I knew would look blendy with my skintone.

LacqueerisaXPolishville: China Glaze, Swanky Silk
I wasn't wrong with my judgement, if I could describe my skintones in terms of shimmers, I guess Swanky Silk will be it. I have some pink and mostly olive tone. Hahahaha! What I didn't know is that I actually really love this shade with my skintone. It'll be great for times when I don't feel like having shades that stand out on my nails :)

LacqueerisaXPolishville: China Glaze, Swanky Silk
A little on the sheer side, these are three thin coats with no topcoat. Quite frankly, there weren't much difference with or without topcoat. All the same, just as sparkly as what you see here. Hehe!

LacqueerisaXPolishville: China Glaze, Swanky Silk
If you have fairer skintone, you might find this shade quite pleasing for something subtle yet not boring. But I do believe Swanky Silk is a shade that probably needs getting used to. My Mom, finds it rather dirty colour. I for one, love this! Yes, despite it blending in with my skintone, I love it :) Besides, I think its a great shade to pair with glitter polishes. Hehe :D

Enamel Art 1000 - Silver Glitters

LacqueerisaXPolishville: Enamel Art 1000 Silver Glitter
I've also received a pen/liner polish (usually, I'll treat these as liner polishes). So this is Enamel Art 1000 in Silver Glitters, I assumed. Haha! For those of you who are seasoned nail artists, you would know this is considered a two-way pen and liner polish.

LacqueerisaXPolishville: Enamel Art 1000 Silver Glitter
A quick look at the brush. It's nice and soft, not too long which enables better control in movement. However, the base of this polish is very, very thick. Even after a few drops of nail polish thinner, I still find this thick. Which, in my opinion.. makes this very hard to work with.

Quick swatches to see how the brush performs. It works great for thin or thick lines and the glitters have very sparse distributions. Whether or not that is a pro or con, that's up to you and your creativity to decide :) Its unfortunate that I have to report the pen nib, isn't very helpful. For two main reasons: (1) It was jammed. (2) Even after I un-jammed it, I had to put tremendous pressure squeezing the "body" to get some polish out. In other words, not practical. I'll be more than happy to just use it directly with the liner brush. Hahahah! :)

  1. Feel The Breeze is definitely not a neon polish and I absolutely love the bright shade of it! I can not say the same thing about Swanky Silk, that is not quite my favorite and I can not tell you why :) The silver glitter pen is a very good idea for nail art, besides that is to thick!

  7. Hey Andrea! Yeah, I thought so too, good to know you feel that way as well :) Yup! I love it too, such a lovely shade! Haha!! It's okay, one man's meat, another man's poison! Not everyone will like the same thing :) Hahaha!! If only it had the right consistency right? But yea, still workable to some extend! ^_^

  8. Hehe, thank you so much Gillian! Oh gosh, I won't say it was always brilliant, I'm still learning :) True what you said, I realised I'm not too good with silvers despite wanting them too. Hehe, yes, Feel The Breeze is quite the colour! Definitely a great shade to add in collection, if you haven't one similar to it yet. ♥

  12. Thank you so much, Bethany! Hahah, awww you flatter me :) Eh, that makes both of us! Actually, I'm not sure anymore if I qualify as a "not into pink person" considering I just added a deep berry magenta shade into my stash. Hahahaha! But yes, Feel The Breeze is truly a lovely shade! ^_^
