How is your Wednesday so far? I wonder if I mentioned it before, but I strangely like Wednesdays. I often wondered if its because it marks the middle of the week or is it because it seems like the most productive day to me. Or it feels like the "body" of a story, where things and events are finally taking pace. Hahaha, something like that, I guess. Do you have a favourite day? What is your favourite day?
This is inspired by ZIBtextile's Summer Garden - Oversize Maxi Dress. My first impression when I saw this piece was, "Whoa, I'll totally wear that!" hahaha! I love the motives, I love the colours and I know that it will look good on me. Though I'm sad it's not a dress that I can afford, I am glad I can achieve similar result on my nails :)
I kept to the colour scheme of the dress but tweaked the designs a little so it will be easier to execute. Initially, I wanted to maintain a mirrored design like the inspiration. However, I really like the organic flow the dress has and incorporated that into the design as well. :)
I really like how these turned out. Haha! As you can see on my ring finger, the only nail that's kept the mirrored design concept. I was going to change it, but I grew to love it more and more so I kept it. :P Doesn't look too awkward with the rest, I hope! So in the end, I haven't quite attempt mirrored designs. But I will do so in the near future. There are just so many gorgeous inspirations lying around! :)
Well then, this is all I have for you today. I'll be back on Friday ;D
