Hello everyone! :D How many of you watched/followed FIFA throughout the start till the end? I was quite busy so I only managed to watch the last few matches. It feels so quiet now that FIFA is over. So while the season is still lingering, I thought I'll do a quick post (but long hahaha!) and show you some nail arts I've done.
Semi Finals - Brazil vs Germany
Just want let you know, I'm not an avid Football fan. I don't know the players either but I am a FIFA fan, a mild one though. *Ahems* Anyway, I was really excited for the first semi-finals match between Brazil and Germany. Both are my all time favourites! But because this year's FIFA was held in Brazil, I really wanted Brazil to win.
Brazil became one of my favourites ever since the match I saw back in FIFA 2002. I will never forget that beautiful scene where every Brazil players gathered in a large circle, giving thanks to God after winning the world cup. That image stuck, and I want them to win every FIFA after that. Hahaha! Though they didn't win this year's hopefully they'd make a great come back in the next FIFA World Cup :) Nail art is inspired by Brazil's Flag.

How I became a fan of Germany for FIFA was because of Oliver Kahn. I was amazed by his achievement in FIFA 2002. Ever since then I held high expectations for goal keepers from Germany team. Haha!! XD Coming back to FIFA 2014, Germany, you did absolutely well in this semi-final match and deserve to win! I am happy for you :) For the nail art, it is inspired by their 2014 Home Jersey. I love the colour combos, the pattterns and the contrasts! Especially, the white and black, hmm.. I can't explain but I love love love it! Hahaha!

Semi Finals - Argentina vs Netherlands
Lol, though I had ideas in my head I didn't manage to get them done in time. I managed one for Netherlands, but I'm not too happy with it so I'm not showing them here. Hahaha! I really enjoyed watching the game between these two teams. It was intense! I rooted for Netherlands but they lost in penalty shoot out. I feel sad for them, but congratulations to Argentina for advancing to finals! :)

Third Place Play-Off - Brazil vs Netherlands
Judging from previous matches, I had expected Netherlands to take third place yet still harboured hope for Brazil. Hmm.. I'm clueless when it comes to football's rules and all but the whole game felt rather meh.. =/
My dear Brazil, I wished there weren't so many slips when you advance towards goal areas. Sadly, you were so near yet so far :( I guess 2014 just isn't the year for you. I'm still glad you made it this far, and will continue to support you in FIFA 2018! :) For the nails, I decided to keep it simple and as "sporty-look" as possible. Staying with Brazil's key colours, I threw in glitters hoping they'd perform better for this match (which I honestly think they did). The nails don't look as nice up close, but they look fantastic from afar :)

After watching the previous match, Argentina vs Netherlands, I thought I'd do a nail art incorporating their goal keeper's jersey colours as well. Congratulations to Netherlands for winning third place! :) You guys sure did well. Since I used glitters for Brazil's nail art, I decided to go full shimmers for Netherlands. 'Cause I don't have orange-y glitters >_<

FIFA World Cup 2014 Final - Argentina vs Germany
Woot! Woot! Nothing like seeing two strong teams meeting each other in finals! Absolutely beautiful match between these two. I rooted for Germany, though the match reached a point where I don't mind at all if Argentina ended up winning as both teams gave their absolute all to win World Cup.
For Argentina nails, I drew inspirations from their home jersey and from their flag. Started off with simple sky blue gradient, adding gold glitters to spice things up as this is for a match in finals. I was very tempted to add '10' as an accent, but decided not to as I prefer teams to play as teams. Just as I have for all the FIFA World Cup manis I did, uniformed nails to represent team spirit. I really love how this nail art turned out. My dearest Argentinian fans and readers, I hope you'll like this as much as I do :)

Champions of this year's FIFA 2014 World Cup, massive Congratulations, Germany! So, so proud of you guys! As I already had one inspired by jersey, I thought I'll include the flag for finals. And of course, with glitters too! Okay, the flag looks upside down here, but I had in mind for this nail art to have the flag facing the right way up when one lifts their hands up in the air. Which I did, when they scored a goal!! Woot! Woot! A little bit of white and red (gradient red, though its not obvious in photos) as a link to their jerseys.
