Hello everyone! :D
As promised, here is the nail art inspired by Lemons! Also inspired by the polish itself! I kept it simple to match The Face Shop Lemon Candy Yogurt polish. This time, I went to google for a clearer image of lemons and see if there's any that could spark more ideas into the nail art.
I have cultivated the habit to refer to pictures while doing nail art or simply when doodling for that bit of accuracy. These are the pictures I referred to: here and here. And one thing I'm very sure of if I hadn't done so is that I would have ended up drawing the leaves sticking upwards instead! Hahahahahhaha!!
I went for the sketchy-vintage like approach. I think it adds just the right details to enhance the look while still keeping the whole look simple and soothing. I'd say, the main challenge I faced is trying to place two lemons 'rightly' on my middle finger. I redo it 3 times - yeap, in the pictures are my finally successful attempt on the third try! :)
Hahahaha, sorry kinda spammy pictures with same/similar poses. Lol! But I really like this! It came up better than I have hoped for :D I was parading the whole house when I was done. Practically showing everyone at home. "Look, lemons!!!" Lols!! Even snapped a quick one to show my brother XD hahahaha!! It was then he told me they look like Crabtree & Evelyn Citron, Honey & Coriander packaging. Lol! I'd say they look similar but not so similar too. Their packaging is a lot better and the details.. hmm I think I'd put them into a 'to-do list' Hahahaha!!
Hehe, I couldn't resist! I matched my outfit to my nails! So I thought I'd share this picture with you :) Oh, by the way, that's the cardigan I wore on Christmas last year.. Hahahaha! One of my favourites! :D I guess that's it for today! I hope you like them as much as I did, till next post! :)

ReplyDeleteAnd wonderful design! Just as usual <3
Wow! They are so cute!! Very very beautiful design!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLoving your nail art, hun!
ReplyDeleteI like how you placed them and this sketchy-vintage style is very cool. Looking at your pictures only I'd never thought that it takes you 3 times to perfect it. But at least it was worth it since this is a very beautiful mani. When life gives you lemons, make nail arts with them! hihi
I really like them. The vintage style is charming. ^^ I often use reference pictures too, because my imagination isn't very good. xD I need to do another fruit manicure. It's been a while.
ReplyDeleteHi Tartelette! I'm so glad you love the colours too! How wonderful! I'm sure you'd find it there, and lotsa other goodies too!! Oh, I sure wish to be able to make a trip there as well! I shall await your haul post, yes? ;) Haha!! And thank you very much! I'm glad you love the design ♥
ReplyDeleteHi Ana! Thank you very much! :D Sometimes less is more, eh? ;) Am glad you like them! ♥
ReplyDeleteHahaha!! Thank you sooo much, Anhy! :D Very happy to hear you're loving this! ^.^
ReplyDeleteYeah, it was the composition of the lemons. I got the ring finger right the first time, then moved to the mid finger. And I stubbornly want two lemons on it. Hahaha!! The first try had too much space around, the second try was too busy. Glad that I got it right on the third try :) Lol! I totally was thinking that quote when I completed this nail art! Hahahahahha great minds think alike! :P Oh, but I would add lemon flavoured icing too - just cause I've been craving some since reading or saying the word 'Lemon' *slurrrpps* ;P
Hahaha! Thank you very much, Bethany! I thought it completes the look or direction of this nail look. I'm glad you're liking them :D Haha! Trust me, my imagination isn't very good either. So I always have an image as inspiraton/reference point XD Oooh!! I wonder what fruit you'd be tackling? Looking forward to it :D
