Hey! hey! :D Today I bring you a combination of retro colours, elements and geometric patterns. These nails were results of my random doodling one day while brainstorming nail arts. It was one of those doodles that were somewhat forgotten overtime. However, browsing through etsy led me to stumble upon this creation by Kirsty Eckard which reminded me of the forgotten doodle. The colours I used for this nail art were mostly if not all, inspired by the colours she used in the necklace creation.
The initial idea, was to have these geometries on white base for all nails. But I'm greedy and couldn't settle for just 1 type of design. I needed something more, or rather it was more like these nails and these designs said they have more potential. ;)
I kept the same design on my middle finger, ring finger and thumb. But there was a need for more variety in terms of colours. And while doing this nail art, I realised how well Etude House GR605 complimented with Etude House LUCIDarling 03 Glittering Jewel Coral so I've used them to create colour variations.
Then the pinky said it wants scattered triangles on it. I said "Okay" and painted the triangles. When I was done, I turned and looked at Missy Index. "So, what do you want on you?", I kindly asked. Missy Index took a quick browse at the others and replied, "Erm, you know what? I think I'd go for something entirely different. How about small dots?"-- Small dots it is then ;)
Hahaha!! That, pretty much was how this whole nail look came about. I finished them gloss at first, but for some unknown reasons I matte-ified them and love the matte look! Hence, the majority of pictures in matte version :) Not too sure what the factor is, but these sort of gave me that happy feel. Haha! Hopefully they'd add a dose of joy in your day too :)
Well, since I'm rather aware of how many Etude House nail polishes I have in my stash.. Thought I'd try a nail art using mostly Etude House polishes.
