Striped Floral Monogram Nails

Woohoo! It's Fridayyyyyyy!! As promised, I'm here to show you something I did awhile back that I was really proud of :) These were also inspired by Jackie of SugarloafGraphic's Iphone/Samsung Cover. I don't own any of these phones yet. But if I do, I know this would be one that I'll love on my phone. It's colourful and has a strong image. Perfect. :)

There's something really chic and aesthetic about black stripes over white base. I seem to be loving this combo. I have another nail art that's similar, will probably show you on Monday or next Friday. Haha! We'll see. I used roses as the flowers for this nail art though, hope you aren't too bored of roses yet. A bright vivid purplish pink to contrast with the background, adding more life to the whole look.

No fun without some accents! Haha! I don't think I have to explain what L means here, but just in case... It's from my blog's name. Moving on to the index, I wanted a different background to make it more noticeable, I used the same polish as the roses for the stripes. Hmm, I was skeptical to use black rose at first. I don't want to be sending death messages, hahaha.. But I did a quick search at possible positive notes to black roses and as it turns out, it could mark a new beginning too. Thus, I reasoned it shall mark my new beginning in using more glitter polishes for nail arts! It was so sad to see I have a growing stash of glitters, and I hardly use them. Plus, Gillian from PlumeriaPainted have been making me guilty for not using mine enough. Hahaha! So, there's one right there in the background :P

There is no doubt that this is one of the looks I will love for a very long time! I was reluctant to take it off, until I had an inevitable chip. I used a peel-off base coat so... they are prone to chipping after 2 to 4 days for me. I'll talk more about it when I do a review on it next time. And yeah, that is all for today. See you on Monday! :) Have a lovely weekend! ♥

  4. How can someone ever get enough of roses? I think they're one of those flowers you can never ever get sick of :D

The black stripes really look sophisticated and somehow they have a navy feel on them here. I love that you did your accent nail on your pointer. And I love the pink stripes. They are make this elegant look so playful and still girly hihi LOL I would atually never thought of death when I think of black roses haha But then again, I never interpret too much into flowers - probably should start to though. You make me wanna know more about "floral language" now, not that I'm sending some weird messages with my floral nail arts without even knowing O_o

Hmm to be completely honest it took me a while to spot the glitter xD But yess, please use more of it in the future, that another thing I could never ever get tired of seeing hihi
Have a wonderful weekend dear =)

  8. Actually, me. Lol! I was a little frustrated that it seems like roses were the only floral I could do. I kinda wanted to bang wall, feeling stuck. Haha, I would agree roses are always fab on nails, but if roses as bouquets...not so much. I might still like those full blooms though. .____.

Wooo, navy! Stripes tends to make me think of french and mimes though. hahahahhaa! Yeah, I totally agree with you! It's like giving off a girly yet edgy look. Well, people like to use flowers as a lot of symbolical meaning yada yada.. I find it a little bothersome sometimes. However, yeah it's important to acknowledge a little bit of floral language. Haha, wouldn't want to accidentally convey a wrong message out there. Hihihi!

Hahha no worries! I mean, they weren't there to be completely spot-able but to help elevate the elements in the design :) Hahah, definitely! I have too many glitters lying around begging to be used more often. XD

Wish you a wonderful day! :)
