Good Afternoon! How are all of you feeling today? It is Monday and its exactly 36 days before Christmas arrives! I'm getting pretty excited, are you? From today onward, I'd be posting Christmas themed nails on every three days. Hopefully, I'd manage and be on time to post them but there's going to be so much to prepare for the season, while I'm excited to do this, I'm afraid of not being able to keep track (haha!). But at the end of it all, I do hope to be able to finish all 12 Christmas Themed Nails before Christmas comes knocking at my door! ;P
Today's weather a little chilly, been raining whole morning. Hopefully none of you are feeling too blue. I'm starting off this series with a simple manicure with a touch of blue glitters.
So for these nails, I had hope to capture a rather Rustic Christmas feeling. The colour combinations are also inspired by a combo Jen, from The PolishAholic did in one of her recent piCture pOlish glitter swatches. I just love the combination of blue glitters over brown. They look stunning and unique as well as gives off a wonderful laid back atmosphere - which is what I hoped I've manage to achieve that in this simple duo polish combination. I had initially wanted to make them glossy, but the glitters were too reflective which makes matte a much better option (matches the mood I was going for too!) =D
These are the nail polishes used:
On the left is a gorgeous deep brown with a slight hint of purple undertones by bloop nail polish and on the right is #7 by LUCIDarling of Etude House.
Hi Laquerissa! I like a lot the base colour, I find it very flattering for your skin.
ReplyDeleteHaha! Thank you! I actually bought it by accident, the lightings in the area was low it was hard to see what colour it was. I thought it was those cool chrome colours, but when I brought it home, it was a dark brown - but pretty! :D
DeleteWhat a great combination, it's elegant and perfect for the chilly weather :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! Yeah I find it fitting too! Simple and not too plain ;P
Deletei am totally loving this!!!

DeleteWhat a pretty colour combo, I would never have paired blue & brown myself! Pretty :D
ReplyDelete:D Thanks! I've always love browns paired with blues (seen a lot in etsy treasuries), kinda feels like something different for a change.

Thanks! Yes, they are soo reflective that only in matte one can see the colour and its beauty! Fortunately, I do love matte! ;)
DeleteLove the colour combo! Never would have thought to put those two shades together!
ReplyDeleteThank you! Lovely isn't it? I really enjoy clashing colours from time to time :D
