Hey you! :)
This is the last post of Australia Haul. And I'm planned to finish it with a bang! (or I hope I did). I have 3 very lovely full sized Chi Chi Polishes to show you plus 1 from Sally Hansen. Haha, poor fellow - lost in the midst of Chi Chi(s). Hahaha! [warning: heavy post!]
Can't Buy My Love :: I Own That :: Everyday I'm Shuffling
Chi Chi, Can't Buy My Love
First up is Can't Buy My Love which is a creme beige polish that has gold shimmers with a little bit of lilac undertones. I can't say how much I love the name of this polish! A colour that I am absolutely in love with and I know for sure is a colour that's is hard to find in Malaysia. On my nails were three coats. As much as I love the colour, I wish the application went on just as beautifully. Sadly, it was rather hard to get a good coverage. But I love the colour way too much that I am forgiving the fuss in application. Besides, it's not easy to find a beige that I would love with my skin tone. :)
A quick NOTD, 'The Good Fairy' to accompany this gorgeous polish. Well, I was thinking about how Can't Buy My Love would be a great colour indeed to represent a gentle fairy in a story. While she would be a very ladylike character, she could afford a little mischief - so I added in a blue for that. Something along big sister sort of character - you get the idea. Hehe.
Chi Chi, I Own That
This is the kind of spring pastel green I have been trying to find for so long! I was excited when I saw my Mom brought it home. This is spring fresh, pastel mint green creme polish that I think is essential in every polish lovers stash! Now, I am able to proudly proclaim 'I Own That'! Haahaha! Coverage was a better with this polish. Just two coats for full opacity.
So I created this NOTD themed around Spring + Leaves + Mint and ended up with a whole miss-match? I love the peach colour with pastel greens but wanted the accents to be more obvious which caused me to add red accent leaves, just for that breakaway in colour scheme. I've also added subtle iridescent glitters over some of the nails. I think I should have left it without the red and glitters. Hahaha!! Well, I do suppose it is still somewhat 'pretty' but soon I was bored of it :P
Chi Chi, Everyday I'm Shuffling
Love the colour, not so much for the name. The song was overplayed and the term overused. Like how Gangnam Style is now. Everyday I'm Shuffling is a stunning shimmery green with strong sea blue undertone colour. Totally reminded me of the sea. Ahh, the formula is great! Good coverage as well. Two easy coats.
Here's fun manicure. The idea for this look started with a rough idea of gold paint dripping onto this sea teal surface. Then I thought about how royalty the combination look and decided to add a gold crown on the thumb. Now looking at it, they seem to give a feel of treasures that sunk to be bottom of the sea. The drips now resembles golds spilling into the sea. And so, I've decided to call it 'Treasures In The Sea'.
Sally Hansen, Cherry Red
Ahh Cherry Red ♥ !! This very hue speaks for itself! I don't know what else I can say about this polish. Look at the colour! I've never seen a more cherry-accurate colour than this! I remember requesting if it was possible, to bring home cherries. Haha!! Now I'm craving for cherries just by looking at this colour! Application smooth and easy. Good to go at 1 coat, fully opaque on the second coat. On my nails are two easy coats of Cherry Red.
Couldn't resist not doing a Cherry Inspired nail art! I bet you wouldn't resist that temptation too if you were in my shoes, hehe. Yup, you're looking at two tediously done nails and three very lazily done nails. Hahaha!! To say it nicely, I was thinking that having all cherries on the nails would probably look too boring. And decided to break things up for a more interesting overall look. *Stares at pictures* Umm... I probably should have exchange the position of colours on pinky nail with the ring finger. Haha!
Seriously love the cherries! Ah, wish so much I could pop some into my mouth right now! *drools* With this, I'm sure most of you can agree on how Cherry-Perfect this Cherry Red by Sally Hansen is! Hehe!! :)
This is the end of Hauls from Australia! I hope you have enjoyed them as much as I've had fun swatching them and coming up with quick, time consuming and sometimes lazy manicures! Hahaha! Now that these are done, I can happily mark them as done! What's next then? More swatches! Hahaha!!
Have a Cherry-licious-tastic Weekend Y'all! :D
Awwww those mnicure are gorgeous! I am Shuffling and Cherry Red are my faves though! :D
