Queen of Hearts

Good Afternoon! (do not like the sun. wish it rained the whole day. lol)

Remember the Nail Art Contest I told you about over at Nails by Kayla Shevonne? After a long while brainstorming on ideas to execute, I've finally came up with one that's inspired by Tim Burton's Queen of Hearts. I didn't take the everything into the nail art, mainly the corset and a little bit of the skirt, with of course, a few touches and additions of my own.

"Queen of Hearts, Lacqueerisa"

Haha, the thumb was a last minute idea. Shortly after I've done all four fingers, I was wondering what design would be suitable for the thumb and enables me to give indie polishes the 'highlight' ? Then the idea hit me, a rather fun idea to just depict a heart with a crown on it. I've made sure to slant the crown to give a little bit of character and quirkiness.

The two indie polishes I've used is Shimmer Polish Eva (Nicole) and Wellnails The Robin. On the middle finger, is an inspiration taken from her corset and a little bit of skirt, as for the ring finger... the inspiration is from the top part of the corset.

As for the index and pinky, they are direct interpretation of the colours of her skirt. And I must say, Wellnails The Robin is just perfect for that bit of details. You know what they say, less is more sometimes. Hehe.

Sooo that's it for today's post. I hope you have enjoyed it as I have and loved the outcome. Wish me all the best as I enter these for the contest. There are still time to enter if you'd like. Head on over to Nails by Kayla Shevonne for the details.
