Fresh Start!

Gooooood Morning! How is your first week of new year so far? Since we're still New Year-ing (or at least I am), I wanted to do a nail look that says somewhere along fresh or refreshing. Well, new year, new life, new everything! So I guess, nothing beats the feeling of starting out freeeessh! And I'm glad to say it was pretty much a success :)

Lacqueerisa: New Leaf

So, I've called this look 'New Leaf' and one could easily tell it is linked to the saying of 'turn over a new leaf' - to start out fresh. Well, I think its great to start anew for every New Year. I don't like thinking about the not so happy stuffs that has happened. Let bygones be bygones. And welcome every good stuffs! Speaking of which, awww thank you so much everyone! I've reached 100 followers via GFC just a couple of days ago! So exciting and this definitely contributes to a lot of good new year feeling! Massive thank you to all of you! *Mwah* I do planned on a giveaway but I have a few issues to get sorted out first. So, giveaway would be sometime this month or next month.

Lacqueerisa: New Leaf

Okay, so back to the nails. I started with two coats of OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls on each nail. Then using the make up sponge, I lightly sponged on in random placement of jelly like nail colours. In order, Etude House Ultra Green, Elianto Thistle, Skin Food PK205 and Lioele 24. On a piece of paper (an old one) I've loosely mixed Etude House Ultra Green and Lioele 24 to draw the leaves with a small nail art brush. I did those for all 4 nails, except the index which I've used as an accent. Keeping it simple and clean with OPI My Boyfriend Scales Walls as base and Lioele 24 for the leaf. Finish off with Seche Vite.

I really love the soft feeling the jelly and sheer polishes give for the background of the leaves. They sure compliments each other well. Haha! I like how spring-y and fresh this look is. :D

Lacqueerisa: New Leaf

Aw, I tried to do dew drops as well for the accent but that just didn't work. The idea sounded so simple 'just  dot 'em on with a top coat' - nah. I need to figure some other method out. A round transparent nail deco, maybe.

All in all, I hope you guys have find this manicure refreshing as I did! Somehow, this year sure is starting off pretty well for me. I hope yours will be just as great too or better! :)
