Hello to all of you! I'm in a very or rather joyous mood today since I do have nail art to share with you! I was browsing through etsy for inspirational food (as usual). Yeap, you read it right. Inspirational food. I am one of those who just can't go by a day without feeding my eyes with pretty pictures of creativity outbursts by all the creative minds out there. Hoho~! Back on track, I was saying look at this picture here. It is a Hot Air Balloon Kit Circus themed made by Claire Waring who resides in Sydney Australia! I loved the one with the blue dome so much I just have to have something similar on my nails!
I have always wanted to try out a nail art with Circus or Funfair theme. But somehow, that idea got forgotten when new inspirations/ideas were piling in. With this nail art done, I'm sure I could finally mark it as a done thing. The inspiration and idea sure came in an unexpected way, but I'm grateful!
Overall, the nail art is pretty much a direct translation with a few tweaks of my own. And because the buntings are varying from one nail to another, I didn't mind at all that they were having the same design on each nail. Although, the dots did appear less satisfactory than what I have hoped for. Fortunately I have decided the dots to be in three colours, same as the buntings so they turned out rather alright. Haha~
By the way, have you noticed anything different? I needed a change in my nail shape, and have been loving rounded squovals. So I filed them down and reshaped them. I think I'd refine the shape again when the nails are longer. The shape is still a little off from what I have wanted. Anyway, it's Monday again! Wish you all a wonderful start! :)

hihi yaaay to the new shape! ^.^
ReplyDeleteI love the colors here - well, as always haha
No, really! The dark blue and the light blue..at first sight it's a bit like a gradient half moon. I also love the circus theme. Hmm.. when was actully the last time I went to one? or a fair? O_o Though I was always scared of the clowns I actually enjoyed it. What are the circus/fairs in Malay like?
Hahaha, Thank you!! I'm glad to hear you loved them! I think it's been 16 years since I last been to a Circus or heard of any in Malaysia. As far as I remember, it was fun, crowded erm... lots of games area (classic ones haha!) hmm.. there was a tent we enter and walked like a maze into a showroom where they had you know, lion taming performances, the motorbikes in cage, people swinging from one end to another. I seem to recall us (my sister and I) holding something.. Maybe it's the colourful water balls with elastic or something.. Memory's fuzzy there. LOL!!
ReplyDeleteAs for funfairs it's more like a mini one these days. The environment not as lively. Looks kinda rundown and rather empty and smaller?? Back in those days, it was all packed and lively filled with funs and felt really biggg! (or at least that's how I remember them...) haahhaha! I hardly go to those now.
I totally do the same with food pictures. :P But it always makes me so hungry. Lol. Gorgeous nail art, as always. Love how colourful they are. Nice to see you rocking squovals. I did similar to mine, but I'm not very good with a nail file. xD
ReplyDeleteThank you! Ah, food pictures makes me hungry too! Hahaha!! No worries! I'm not good with nail files either! XD But recently (well, not too recent..sometime ago) I've managed to find a glass file in Daiso (MYR5 only!!!) and it's made my filing so much easier! Perhaps you might wanna try glass files too :D
ReplyDeleteCute mani! I love all the colors you used (they're quite fun and festive) and all the details you put in! :-)

This is very colorful and funny design! It's a holiday on your nails! :)
ReplyDeleteThank you! :D I'm glad you think so! Yeah, they did remind me of childhood days when I'd go to funfairs during primary school holidays. Quite nostalgic, I must say. :')
ReplyDeleteI've recreated this mani. It will be up on the blog tomorrow :)
