Hello! I have with me some love for teals and pinks today. I'm also submitting this for a nail art contest held by Marisa of Polished Obsession and Lakeisha of Refined & Polished with themes featuring colours of teals and pinks in simple nail arts. Not to forget the very exciting prizes which made it very irresistible to participate in hopes of winning them. Haha~ Well, I'm very sure there are tons of talented ladies participated already! I do regret the lateness in sharing with you such information. I've been busying myself with other matters in life but there are still two days left to join if you're interested. Please refer to their websites (here and here) for more information on how you may participate. Huge thank you to both, Marisa and Lakeisha for organising such wonderful contest! :)
If you have not known already, this is a theme I'm excited about as I do love the colour combinations very much! Teals and Pinks are some of the best colours combinations I have ever come across. Brainstorming the ideas however, was a tedious process. Lol. Since they have mentioned that they love simple dots and stripes, I have sought to incorporate those in - with much delight really. Haha!
I doodled about a few ideas, but only two designs made it to the nails because I knew I want to do skittlettes (it's a hard to resist the addiction once you've tasted it's goodness) but had a little trouble coming up with 'matching' combinations. On I go in search for inspirations in etsy as well as pinterest.
I've started off with the middle finger which is inspired by this picture I found on pinterest, produced by Lian Siek Man. Then I moved to the thumb to do another design that I was sure of, which is inspired by Marisa's Thumb. Also drawing inspiration from a picture I saw in etsy, a drawing done by Shannon Reed which I have incorporate the idea onto my ring finger. And the rest, were straight ahead ideas, playing with stripes and dots.
I must say, I'm really loving the ombré stripes. I will definitely try it again with other or similar colours. Haha~ Also I find it rather hard to separate myself from stipple-like dots. Anyway, it was interesting and rather challenging putting together this skittlette. I hope it has provide you with much anticipated viewing pleasure. :) Enjoy your day!
