Hello! Here's to wishing you a beautiful start to a wonderful weekend!
Well, I don't know about you but my eyes always falls on red and white combination. There's something about these two being together that proves to be a beautiful combination and contrast. Very eye-catching! From the moment I set eyes on this beautiful photo (second picture from the left) captured by Matt Clayton, I felt so inspired! I really wanted red doors on my nails! Hahaha!! As if those doors weren't enough to motivate me, I saw this amazing square frame nail art by the very talented Candice from Mr. Candiipants. That was it. The inspiration was literally screaming to be out! ;)
Okay, so being inspired by the doors just wasn't enough. I needed something more. I hunted for elements to include into the design, and it wasn't until I stumbled upon this picture that I had an eureka moment. What's more? The very picture had red chair to contrast against the herringbone backdrop!
Perfect match! I seriously couldn't think up of a better combo than these. Love them so much! While the herringbone took a little more time than expected, my method was 'longer way' as I went ahead and freehand them. Thinking over, it's probably quicker following Lucy's Stash Jonqal Pattern Nail Art Tutorial.
Strangely yet not so strangely, the index finger reminds me of ruby red shoes. Hahaha! Pardon my little sudden random input there. ;P Anyway, it's really rare, but I definitely don't mind replicating this exact look on my nails any other day! It's so vibrant and lively! They are bound to lift up a mood any time! And for the first time, my mom actually says she wouldn't mind having these on her nails too! :D Usually, she'd only opt for solid colours. I'm glad this nail look changed her mind! :)
Have a vibrant and cheerful weekend!
