Swatch & Review: The Face Shop Part 2

Hey lovelies! Here is part 2 of The Face Shop Nail Polishes I wanted to show you :) Probably these three and the highlight of all 6 The Face Shop Polishes that I recently bought. ^.^ Hope you'll be loving what you see soon! Oh by the way, my sister just recently got back from Taiwan trip and she got me lots of wonderful souvenirs and gifts! :D I think I'll show you some of them, next week! If things goes as planned. Hahaha!

Bring on the glitters and shimmers!

The Face Shop, Face It GL114

Lacqueerisa: The Face Shop GL114

Starting this part two, will be The Face Shop GL114! From the bottle, you can see the silver-like glitters and I thought it was a silver/gold kind of polish. And.. I was going to give it a pass, because I have a few gold polishes yet I hardly wear them. So the thought of adding another gold into my stash feels irrelevant. But hey, trying a 'tester' nail polish is free, right? I might as well.... after all, I am just trying...

Lacqueerisa: The Face Shop GL114

Ahems, yes. I was. Just. Trying. Lols! Who am I kidding? I totally came home with it! XD I loveeeeee this gold! How unexpected and off guard I was! I totally didn't think I'd like it as much as I did. I thought the silver glitters would make me dislike this polish. Turns out, the gold is prominent and the silver glitters just enhanced the nail polish all the more! Making it shine brighter than gold! (I hope that made some sense :P).

Lacqueerisa: The Face Shop GL114

Here's a close up shot, hopefully you can see the details of the glitters! Absolutely stunning! If you haven't have a polish like this, I absolutely recommend seeing this polish in person! Provided of course, there are TFS outlets near you.

Totally achieved opacity with two coats! Application was easy (very minimal clean up). It dries to a texture-like feel. There is only a slight difference when worn without and with topcoat. Personally, I like the without topcoat version. But I am fine with both, in real life the difference is actually hardly noticeable. Heh, and you must have known by now just how much Christmas vibe this polish gives out! I even did an impromptu nail art with this -- but in another post! ;)

The Face Shop, Face It PP405

Lacqueerisa: The Face Shop PP405

If I have to pick one favourite polish of the year, this will be it! The Face Shop PP405 took my breath away when I laid my eyes on it. Even I cannot believe just how mesmerized I am by it. Usually I shy away from colours near 'red' family simply because I hardly wear them. Same goes with pinkish hue too. But I guess it's safe to say that ever since Etude House launched its Fall promo pictures, a seed was unexpectedly planted. And if you read the post you'd noticed I wasn't at all interested in those shades at that time. Yet as time passed, I kept seeing this deep, richly saturated pinkish/purplish colour popping up everywhere. The more I see it, the more I love it! I've even bought a pair of plum coloured pants! XD

Lacqueerisa: The Face Shop PP405

The Face Shop PP405 is a very richly pigmented colour. It is a deep reddish purple base polish with micro fine shimmers. The shade is so deep its almost black but not quite. This makes it a very interesting polish and very enticing. From afar, the shimmers in this polish is hardly noticeable, and that amplifies the mysteriousness of this nail polish!

Lacqueerisa: The Face Shop PP405
Here, a close up shot of the bottle just to prove it has shimmers (lol!)

Lacqueerisa: The Face Shop PP405

Although the shimmers are almost invisible, you can see how it did play a part in making this polish stand out from others! I just love how it looks like black, yet like brown and purple -- all at the same time! Simply beautiful! In my pictures are two coats with topcoat (although, without topcoat it is glossy as well!). If you are a fan of rich dark polish, this could be something you want to check out! :D

The Face Shop, CMX325 Flash Flash

Lacqueerisa: The Face Shop CMX325 Flash Flash

Hahaha, The Face Shop CMX325 Flash Flash (what a cute name!) is a clear base polish with astonishing amount of glitters and variations! When I was strolling by the nail polish counter, I totally didn't notice this at first till I saw it was the last bottle left, picked it up for a closer look (my eyesight deteriorated, I can't see too far away..hahaha!). It was then I noticed just how glitter packed it is! (No wonder it was selling fast!).

A close up shot of the bottle for you lovely viewers/readers!

Lacqueerisa: The Face Shop CMX325 Flash Flash

This is one coat over a nail wheel. Now, my dear readers. When I say I'm looking for a special, unique, one of a kind polish, this is what I look for. Varieties of glitters and colours that are so diverse yet comes together as one. I don't even want to start describing what glitters are in there or the colours. It would be an endless list! But I will tell you this, the seemingly silver glitter is actually a pale pink glitter. The only silver glitter that are present in this nail polish is the diamond shaped glitters with holographic properties.

Lacqueerisa: The Face Shop CMX325 Flash Flash

Shown here is one coat of The Face Shop CMX325 Flash Flash over The Face Shop PP405, without topcoat. Goodness! They are made for each other! Hahaha! But of course, clear base means maximum possibilities. Layer it over any colour thou desire!

Lacqueerisa: The Face Shop CMX325 Flash Flash

This picture shows two coats of Flash Flash over The Face Shop PP405. From the above picture, you can tell that generally there are no fishing required, but if you want specifically the holographic silver diamond glitter on your nails, that do require fishing. There is nothing more I can say, other than I simply love how stunning this polish is and how it beautified my nails! :)

In conclusion, The Face Shop has really stepped their game in their nail polish session. In my opinion, the formulas are much better as the brushes are too. I love that they are mostly affordable and priced lower compared to Etude House. However, they do tend to stain. So be warned! Hahaha! Oh, and I'm very curious, anyone know if The Face Shop has any press release information about upcoming collections and so on? (preferably one that contains information on nail polishes, of course :P)

Alrights, that is all for today! Have blessed Saturday, everyone! :)

I'm kind of loving flash flash and I guess I'll have to decide next time I'm in the face shop (which is ages away haha) I'm just loving the holographic diamonds and the square glitter :/ As if I don't have enough glitter polishes. The gold glitter polish also looks really pretty, thanks for your swatches!! :)
