Christmas Poinsettia

Merry Christmas everyone! I know its soooo late but I often feel Christmas comes way too slow and goes way too fast! Hahaha! Can't blame it, I guess. Considering the calender says, only one day for Christmas and approximately 364 days of waiting for it. Hahahaha!!

So, what look did you sport for Christmas this year? :)

Almost White, A Christmas Nail Art!

Hey everyone! I do have a nail art to show you today. This is not too recent, but at least something new, for Christmas season this year. I hope I'll be able to find time to do more Christmas themed nail arts before the season's over. Or at least squeeze in one more on the eve? No promises though, cause I just came back from a hectic trip. No worries! I will update you with the nails done for the wedding ;)

Bohemian Summer Nails

PRODUCTS SENT BY PR
Heys everyone! Continuing from the previous post and collaboration with Polishville, here is a nail art look made with the polishes that was sent to me. Pardon the theme, I did this back when the north hemisphere was still experiencing summer time. Haha! My apologies. I haven't been able to get this up until now. But hopefully these nails will still be a joy to look at. :) Besides, I think Summer themed are almost always appropriate for the weather in Malaysia. Hahaha! XD

Selamat Hari Raya!

Hello! This is going to be a quick and short post to wish all my friends and readers who are celebrating:

Salam Aidilfitri! :D

For every raya, I looked forward to eat all those savoury Malay food. Ketupat, nasi impit, rendang, curry and beef. Such delicious food! This Hari Raya, I decided to do a simple nail art that's inspired by Ketupat. ;)

FIFA World Cup 2014 Nails

Hello everyone! :D How many of you watched/followed FIFA throughout the start till the end? I was quite busy so I only managed to watch the last few matches. It feels so quiet now that FIFA is over. So while the season is still lingering, I thought I'll do a quick post (but long hahaha!) and show you some nail arts I've done.

Semi Finals - Brazil vs Germany

Brazil vs Germany Nails lacqueerisa.blogspot.com
Just want let you know, I'm not an avid Football fan. I don't know the players either but I am a FIFA fan, a mild one though. *Ahems* Anyway, I was really excited for the first semi-finals match between Brazil and Germany. Both are my all time favourites! But because this year's FIFA was held in Brazil, I really wanted Brazil to win.

Smitten By Pinks?

Hello!! I'm here and I'm going to pretend I've not been away for sometime. Haha! Wow, look at the time fly! Many things has happened, and among the "new" is my growing Pink Stuffs. Just for clarity sake, I don't and never have hated pink. I simply don't prefer them on me. Looking back, I don't have many pink memories. I do however, remember a few. I vividly remember picking out a pair of shoe with pink shoelaces during one of my pre-school days. I remembered I loved a pink hairband which I wore it almost every time, especially on occasions -- until I carelessly left it at a playground *sigh*. Trust me, I was sad for a period of time. At the age of 12, I spotted a pink three quartered sleeved turtle neck shirt and fell in love. It was probably the only pink shirt I had that I'll say I looked good in it every time I wore it. Hahaha! But since then, I haven't been able to identify much with pink hues.

To date, I have only two pink clothes in my closet. A tank top which so far, I've only wore once. And a saturated dark pink cardigan which I love and wear it when I need a pop of colour to my outfit. Recently, I've been adding more pinks, a few pink nail polishes and a pink luggage bag. *Sigh* The luggage bag, I was deceived under warm lighting. Tricked to think it has more yellow hue. When I saw the bag under natural daylight I felt a pang of regret. Comforted myself that at least it was a bargain (got it at half price). And at least I'll know that it is my bag when I have to collect it. (Let's do a quick survey, would you buy a pink luggage bag?) Looking at the bag now under natural artificial light, its not that bad. It's still a bold pink, fortunately, do lean on the warmer side and I'm actually liking it more and more. Lols! So I guess things didn't turn out that bad after all.

Clashing Colours

Hellossss! Did I say Friday? What I meant was Monday :P Haha, kidding. Well you see, though I had intended this for last Friday, it has completely slipped my mind that the pictures were unedited. So yes, much apologies on my part. When I finally got the pictures ready and began typing this post it felt like I was rushing through, just so I could post as soon as possible. While that wasn't a bad intention, I do not wish for any of you who took your time reading my post to read a 'last minute' thing. :) So, yeah enough with the explanation, let's get on with the nail art! ;)

Vividly Painted

How is your Wednesday so far? I wonder if I mentioned it before, but I strangely like Wednesdays. I often wondered if its because it marks the middle of the week or is it because it seems like the most productive day to me. Or it feels like the "body" of a story, where things and events are finally taking pace. Hahaha, something like that, I guess. Do you have a favourite day? What is your favourite day?

Today's post might be brief is going to be wordy long (hopefully informative too). I thought I'll share more on my experiences with peel-off base coats. Some of you might have known that previously I have been using PVA glue initially, as my base coat for glitters. There are several reasons:

Striped Floral Monogram Nails

Woohoo! It's Fridayyyyyyy!! As promised, I'm here to show you something I did awhile back that I was really proud of :) These were also inspired by Jackie of SugarloafGraphic's Iphone/Samsung Cover. I don't own any of these phones yet. But if I do, I know this would be one that I'll love on my phone. It's colourful and has a strong image. Perfect. :)

Bubbles And A Turtle

Heyaass! I was going to post another floral mani today...but... Do you all know about Nailpolis? They have a few events organised and in each event members took part of, he/she gets a limited edition badge. Erm, if you play games... yeah.. it feels like playing games and earning titles, etc etc. Except, you won't receive a special power or additional stats when you get them :P (or maybe you do, who knows you might unlock new skills for trying out new mani ideas, hahahaha!) Don't get me wrong though. I like this idea. I think its such a fun concept and its one of the points that separates Nailpolis from other (nail) media platform.

Creamy Dreamy Florals

Happy Monday everyone! Hope none of you are experiencing the Monday's Blues so far. Spring is one of the most inspiring time for nail art, in my opinion. Just the very idea of bright colours and cheerful flowers blooming (or bloomed since I'm kind of late) instantly sets me in the mood for more nail arts.

Beneath A Blossoming Tree

Happy Saturday, everyone! This post was suppose to be posted a month ago. Somehow I managed to stall such a long time and finally complete typing this post out. Hahaha! Well, I was putting off posting until I have caught up with most blog reading. Anyway, I have a few more nail art to show in days to come -- which I'm pretty excited about, haha. So yeah, anticipate those ;)

Happy Mother's Day: Carnations For Mum!

Hey everyone! Things have been quiet around here lately. I apologise. I do have a few (late) manis to show in the coming days. But today is a special day, so I want to post on time! :)

Today marks the day where most of us celebrates Mother's day! A joyous occasion indeed; for us to remember and reminisce on how much love our Mother has poured out to us over the years. So, in conjunction of today's occasion, I've made a simple nail art to celebrate the some of the many similarities we shared.

Swatches & Review: Tip Top Nail Addict

Hey everyone! So I have finally finish swatching these and figured it was time to post them. Trying to cross out task in "to-do" list. Hehe! If you've been a long time reader here at this blog, you just might remember me mentioning of this South African nail polish brand, Tip Top Nails South Africa. Along the year, I've received a few more gifts from them but have yet to do proper swatching. One of my goals this year, is to get more swatching done. At least 70% of my stash, hahaha! Not sure how well that'd go. But there's hoping :P

Just a little bit more information on the company. They had two main ranges, Tip Top Nail Chic and Tip Top Nail Addict. However, Tip Top Nail Addict range will be discontinued as they want to focus on sales in the Tip Top Nail Chic line. One may still find some Tip Top Nail Addict range from Foschini Stores, but that's not certain. Not to worry, they will be releasing new lines and colours into their collections. So be sure to follow up their updates in their facebook page.

Bright Stripes, Little Spots

Hello! It's been quite awhile. I am really busy these days. Oh, life! Haha, so I mentioned previously I wanted to get swatching done. However, due to bad weather and haze and bla, bla, bla... I couldn't go outside for pictures. I did do some though, yet... As time passes by, I could no longer bear not having nail art on my nails. And so, I went ahead and get one done ;)

So... I Got A Gift!

Hey everyone! These images of this beautiful polish has been sitting way too long in my folders. Its by time I show it to you all. This was gifted to me by my wonderful bestie :) And what's more? Its kinda like twinsies, cause we both have the same polish ♥ ^.^

Lacqueerisa: Gift from Bestie

My dear bestie, being the sweet girl she is, she never fails to put a smile on my face while reading all the lovely words she wrote. In the above caption, she wrote: "Let God's light shine through the gloomy days!". I couldn't agree more with that. Love that beautiful reminder. How often we go through days forgetting that even through the darker journeys of our lives, God is still in control and is there for us and have something planned for us - always.

A Dramatic Valentines

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! It'd be a rather quick post today as its also Chap Goh Mei of the Chinese calendar and that's a celebration that marks the end of CNY celebration. Anyway, I don't exactly celebrate this day. But I'd love to be spending time with family just before the season's celebration is over. I'll be heading to Grandmother's home later on. That would also mean, in few minutes time this nail art will be taken off. Haha, Grandmother doesn't like me painting my nails. So I shan't upset her during this festive season. :P

I did initially wanted to attempt a crossbreed kind of nail art, since I heard.. Chap Goh Mei is sort of like the Chinese's Valentines. Since it's not every year these two dates coincides. But inspiration failed me. I just doodle around with nail polishes, and this was a happy result of that.

The Sweet Love

Good Morning! We are just a few days before Valentine's Day. I believe there is a possibility of love literally filling the air around us by now. Valentine's Day as how I know it, is a day many couples dedicate to celebrate their love for each other. Now, I've heard a few who do not agree on this V-day idea. One of the common reasoning they give is "I don't think love should only be celebrated for a day. It should be everyday, all year!".  Well, I think they are missing the point. It's not that couples (or anyone else) only celebrate 'Love' on Valentine's Day only. Rather than that, I think it's a day that gives the perfect excuse for both parties to just be excused of other activities and spend time with each other. Haha! Anyway, these days, Valentine's Day has become a day to celebrate 'Love' in general. So this year, I've been thinking of attempting at least one Valentine's Day nail art. Just as that thought crossed my mind, I received an invitation email from Jaimie Herrmann, Community Outreach Coordinator of Brilliant Earth to participate in a 'Create A Little Love Campaign', end of last month. Brilliant Earth is a company based in US that specializes in ethically sourced diamonds and engagement rings. If you plan on getting engage this year, you might want to take a look at this company :) Disclaimer: This is not a paid post nor sponsored or compensated in any way. But a post done out of love for nail art in contribution to 'Create A Little Love Campaign'.

So, 'Create A Little Love Campaign', is a movement hosted by Brilliant Earth to spread a little more love around the globe. What makes it interesting is that every participant gets to fully and freely express what love means to them in their own unique ways!

Of Polish and Little Catch Ups

Hello Monday, and hello to you! :) In this post today, I'd be doing a little catch up stuffs. Some of you may recall me wanting to show stuff but... as weeks went by.... they just simply slipped my mind! I thought of splitting these up in different post, but nah. Might as well just get them done right here and now (lest my faulty mind forgets again :P) Oh ya, be warned! - Long post. :P

Paint Me Red

Hello! It's the 7th day of Chinese New Year, Happy Birthday Everyone! ;) And I couldn't be happier that I have another CNY appropriate nail art to show you. Today's nail art is inspired by an ang pau (red packet) I received during one of my visitations. The ang pau had a really adorable picture of boy/girl with just the right amount of gold and redness on them! :) My brother got one with the boy picture while my sister and I got the girl, for obvious reason. Lols!

Guest Post Feature: Beauty-Junkie.net!

Hello once again to all the lovely ones reading this post! :) It was much regretted that I have totally missed out on last month's blog feature, but fret not! I'm very pleased to have dear Bethany, of Beauty-Junkie.net to guest post here today! On her blog, she not only provides some of the best tips and reviews of budget beauty shopping but with a good dose of nail arts and nails related posts (just nice for my eye-candy feeding ◠‿◠ ). Without further ado, let's welcome Bethany!~ ^.^

Hello everyone! This is Bethany from Beauty-Junkie.net, a blog which focuses on reviewing the best budget beauty products from around the globe. I also dabble in nail art, which is how I came across Lacqueerisa's fabulous blog.

Happy Chinese New Year!

Hey guys! I'm kind of squeezing this post here just before I have a dear friend to guest post later on. Hehe. Phew! We're actually in the 4th day of CNY and I haven't been able to get anything posted until now! I was hoping to get this up on the first day, but with all the visitations and reunions my energy was completely drained. I'm not complaining though, I had a fun time catching up and spending time with families and loved ones! ^.^ Hope you don't mind :) I guess it can't be helped that I didn't manage to post any CNY inspired nail art before the festival set in. But it goes on for 15 days.. so I still have time to squeeze in maybe one more nail art before the celebration is over.

A Growing Collection

Hello! I'm thinking soon I'd be running out of titles to call my ever growing China Glaze collection. Any suggestions? Hahaha!! Today, I have not just three but four China Glaze nail polishes added to my stash. Around two months ago, China Glaze Malaysia had a promotion themed  "Changing For The Better" where we can trade in old bottles (of any brand!) for a new China Glaze nail polish at MYR25 per bottle (normal price: MYR42 - MYR46 approximately) and it doesn't stop there, if you purchased 3 bottles, you are entitled for a free dip. Neat eh? This is why I love CG Malaysia. They have such interesting promos like these ones unlike others.. And to my Malaysian readers, I urge you to follow their facebook page to be in touch of future promos! :)

It's Official! Hello, Year 2014!

Happy New Year all! Hope you are all having a fresh new start! I am sadden actually, I do not have a new year or new year's eve manicure to show :( I blame... Ideas Block but I also do lack the time to attempt any. Haha! Busy catching up and spending time with dear family members! Besides, I'm really enjoying seeing all the new year manis popping up and around the blogger-sphere as well as round up posts by other bloggers!

Hmm, I do not have any round up posts but there's been only a few happening last year - a few, but much treasured! :) One in particular that I'd love to highlight is the fact that I crossed two nail polish off my wishlist! - that's HUGE to me! ♥ Hahaha!!
