Makeup Savvy Nail Challenge - Day 4 Galaxy Nails

I hesitated. Day 4 of the challenge is Galaxy Nails - the look that I've admired from afar, attempted twice and failed miserably. So, skip this? Yeah, honestly... I felt like skipping it. But the inner me says: do it! Come on, give it a go. You haven't try enough...

Thus, I took a look at my stash. I knew, I didn't have the right colours for galaxy nails. I guess I'll just have to make do with what I have and this is the outcome :

NOTD - Galaxy Nails
NOTD - Galaxy Nails
NOTD - Galaxy Nails
NOTD - Galaxy Nails
NOTD - Galaxy Nails
NOTD - Galaxy Nails
NOTD - Galaxy Nails

I won't lie, I'm very happy with how it turn out. My first Galaxy Nails which actually succeeded! Yeay!! And I love them!! I guess partially is also because I've achieved this using Saran/Cling Wrap style. Haha!! That's because I didn't have any make up sponges.

  • Elianto Sparkling Diva - Lilac
  • The Face Shop - BL602
  • The Face Shop - PP402
  • Revlon - Pretty In Papaya
  • Essence Multi Dimension XXL - 76 Cool and the Gang

  1. I love galaxy nails! They take quite a bit of time, but they're sooo worth it. What do you mean you don't have the right colours, these ones are perfect!

    1. Haha!! I love them too! Thank you, glad you liked them. But I think they're missing the extra pop of either a neonish orange or more of the bright in between orange and yellow type of colour. Galaxies nails are so much fun! Gonna try out different combos next time. :D

    1. Thank you! All trial and error. I love finding ways to use items that are already available in the house. Always a great way for new explorations :D

  4. These look amazing! I'd never have thought to use wrap, I went and pinched a kitchen sponge from my parents house to do mine lol :)

    1. Thank you :D Haha! I would too, but its too bad the only ones we had were those rough green ones which is not suitable for galaxy nails (in my opinion). That's why I decided to go ahead with wraps. ;)

    1. Thank you! Yes, do try it. But it could be rather hard to control the effect. Still fun, nonetheless! Check out ChitChatNails's tutorial post for some ideas, I used the similar method there.
